  1. 1. Carbon Dioxide in Supermarket Refrigeration

    Författare :Samer Sawalha; Björn Palm; Eckhard Groll; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2; carbon dioxide; refrigeration system; supermarket; cascade; indirect; trans-critical; modelling; simulation; experiment; safety analysis; comparison; Mechanical energy engineering; Mekanisk energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis theoretically and experimentally investigates different aspects of the application of CO2 in supermarket refrigeration. Theoretical analysis has been performed using computer simulation models developed to simulate CO2 indirect, NH3/CO2 cascade, CO2 trans-critical and direct expansion (DX) R404A systems. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Supermarket refrigeration systems for demand response in smart grids

    Författare :Tommie Månsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Supermarket; Demand-side management; Smart-Grid; Energy efficiency; Food retail; Demandresponse; Thermal modelling; Refrigerated Display Cabinet; Renewable energy;

    Sammanfattning : With an increasing share of intermittent renewable energy sources in the electrical grid, the need for adapting the demand to the available supply of electricity becomes increasingly important. Within this thesis, the demand response capacity by supermarket refrigeration systems are investigated and methods for enabling it is developed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. State-of-the-art Integrated Refrigeration Systems in Supermarkets : An Energy Efficiency Evaluation Based on Field Measurements Analysis and Computer Simulations

    Författare :Mazyar Karampour; Samer Sawalha; Björn Palm; Silvia Minetto; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Carbon dioxide CO2 ; Supermarket; Supermarket refrigeration; Trans-critical cycle; Field meas-urements; Computer simulation; System integration; State-of-the-art; Heat recovery; Air condi-tioning; Reference HFC system; Geothermal energy storage; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Supermarkets have become a vital feature of modern society. However, they have significant impact on the environment due to the large amount of refrigerants needed in the refrigeration system, and due to the large energy use in the supermarket, they are the commercial buildings with highest energy intensity. 4. 4. Profession, genus och företagarpar : en studie av advokater och köpmän

    Författare :Eva Javefors Grauers; Bo Hellgren; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Business Couple; Family Business; Profession; Gender System; Lawyer; Supermarket Owner; ICA; Familjeföretag; Genusaspekter; Advokatbyråer; Snabbköpsbutiker; Jurister; Företagare; Familjen; Genusarbetsdelning; Genussystem; Jämställdhet; Företag; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : A study of supermarket owners (Javefors Grauers 1999) showed that the woman and the man in the family business were unequal in terms of e.g. ownership, salaries, and domestic work. Furthermore, that the woman in the business couple was not visible as a supermarket owner. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Indoor Thermal Environment in Supermarkets. A study of measured and perceived comfort parameters

    Författare :Ulla Lindberg; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; refrigeration systems; supermarket; display cabinets; thermal comfort; thermal environment; interdisciplinary;

    Sammanfattning : In the supermarket environment three different groups must be considered: food (food quality), personnel (working conditions) and customers. Customers are of particular interest since they make up the commercial basis for the supermarket. Currently, however, there are no recommendations on the indoor environment for this category. LÄS MER
