  1. 16. A Study of Propane and Propene Ammoxidation over the Mo-V-Nb-Te-Oxide System

    Författare :Johan Holmberg; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; TEM; TPR; XPS; XRD; XANES; Chemical technology and engineering; SEM; FTIR; BET; TiO2; SiO2; Al2O3; supports; substitution; synthesis; Mo-V-Nb-Te-Ox catalysts; acrylonitrile; propene; Ammoxidation; propane; symbiosis;

    Sammanfattning : The ammoxidation of propane is commonly regarded as being the future route for producing acrylonitrile, and the Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide system studied here has thus far been seen as the most promising candidate for achieving this. Yields of up to 62% have been presented very elegantly in the patent literature. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Novel Metal-Mediated Organic Transformations : Focusing on Microwave Acceleration and the Oxidative Heck Reaction

    Författare :Per-Anders Enquist; Mats Larhed; Anders Hallberg; Troels Skrydstrup; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Organic chemistry; palladium II ; oxidative Heck reaction; high-throughput-chemistry; microwave acceleration; dicobalt octacarbonyl; in situ carbonylation; urea; diaryl ketones; ESI-MS; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Transition metals have played an important role in synthetic organic chemistry for more than a century, and offer catalytic transformations that would have been impossible with classical chemistry. One of the most useful and versatile of the transition metals is palladium, which over the years has catalyzed many important carbon-carbon forming reactions. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Asymmetric Synthesis and Mechanistic Studies on Copper(I)-Catalyzed Substitution of Allylic Substrates

    Författare :Jakob Norinder; Jan-Erling Bäckvall; Norbert Krause; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; copper; allylic substitution; ferrocene; DYKAT; cross-coupling; homo-coupling; DFT; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the copper-catalyzed substitution of allylic substrates.In the first part of this thesis, the synthesis of a series of metallocenethiolates is described. The thiolates were examined as ligands in the enantioselective copper(I)-catalyzed γ-substitution of allylic acetates. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Quantum Chemical Studies of Radical Cation Rearrangement, Radical Carbonylation, and Homolytic Substitution Reactions

    Författare :Daniel Norberg; Nessima Salhi-Benachenhou; Sten Lunell; Tim Clark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Quantum chemistry; quantum chemistry; coupled-cluster; density functional theory; meta-GGA; reaction mechanism; potential energy surface; isomerization; fragmentation; dissociation; condensation; addition; SH2; hydrogen abstraction; iodine atom transfer; complex; weakly interacting system; hyperfine coupling constant; Kvantkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Quantum chemical calculations have been performed to investigate radical cation rearrangement, radical carbonylation, and homolytic substitution reactions of organic molecules. The rearrangement of the bicyclopropylidiene radical cation to the tetramethyleneethane radical cation is predicted to proceed with stepwise disrotatory opening of the two rings. LÄS MER

  5. 20. A Novel Rearrangement of Allyl Benzyl Ethers and Aspects on the Glyoxylate Ene Reaction

    Författare :Johan Wennerberg; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; liverwort; natural product synthesis; phenyl butyraldehydes; allyl benzyl ethers; 2-hydride migration; 1; 4-rearrangement; regio selectivity; shape selectivity; zeolite; Ene reaction; Taxol A-ring; naphthalene derivatives; dihydronaphthalenes; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes an improvement of the glyoxylate ene reaction by using siamyl glyoxaylate and a development of the novel rearrangement of allyl benzyl ethers. The glyoxylate ene reaction was used as a key reaction in a 8-step synthesis of a Taxol A-ring building block. LÄS MER
