  1. 1. Direct and endothelium-linked serotonergic control of vascular tone in human uterine and umbilical arteries

    Författare :Caroline Karlsson; gynekologisk och prenatal ultraljudsdiagnostik Obstetrisk; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; andrology; gynaecology; Obstetrics; vascular smooth muscle; uterine artery human ; umbilical artery human ; serotonergic receptor; 5-HT; noradrenaline; endothelium; NPY; reproduction; sexuality; Obstetrik; gynekologi; andrologi; reproduktion; sexualitet;

    Sammanfattning : The serotonergic vascular control was investigated by in vitro pharmacology in the human uterine and umbilical arteries. The localisation of immunoreactive (IR) neuropeptide Y (NPY) and the influence of NPY on the adrenergic vascular effects in the human uterine artery were also studied. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Mechanistic Modelling of Drug Dissolution and Matrix Formulations: Rotating Disc Dissolution, Dissolution in a Stagnant Medium, Swelling and Dissolving Matrix Systems

    Författare :Erik Kaunisto; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Rotating Disc; Diffusion; Dissolution; Controlled Release; Hydrophilic matrices; ESPI;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Under årens lopp har människan gjort stora landvinningar inom läkemedelsforskning, vilket har lett fram till avancerade läkemedel som idag tas för givna. Avancerade läkemedel sätter dock höga krav på tillverkarna av läkemedel, vilket har lett till att framtagandet av nya läkemedel är en ganska komplicerad process. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pharmacophore Refinement and Lead Optimization - A study of the benzodiazepine site of the GABAA receptors

    Författare :Erik Lager; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; Naturvetenskap; Natural science; Quinolone; Flavone; Pharmacophore; GABA; Benzodiazepine;

    Sammanfattning : Structure activity relationship studies of synthetic flavone derivatives have been utilized to refine and evaluate a pharmacophore model of the benzodiazepine binding site of the GABAA receptors, originally developed by Zhang et al. (Drug Des. Discovery 1995, 12, 193-248). LÄS MER

  4. 4. Asymmetrical Flow Field-Flow Fractionation in the Application to Biological Macromolecules

    Författare :Cecilia Arfvidsson; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Bioteknik; Biotechnology; biotechnology; recombinant protein production; molecular weight; Escherichia coli; ribosomes; glutenin; asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation; multiangle light scattering;

    Sammanfattning : Asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (AsFlFFF) is especially useful in the application to biological macromolecules due to the absence of a stationary phase in the separation channel. As a result no upper exclusion limit occurs and low shear forces affect the sample components. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Metallocene based peptidomimetics and chiral catalysts

    Författare :Suzana Maricic; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; asymmetric catalysis.; metallocene based amino alcohols; one-pot macrocyclisation; cyclic peptides; Organometallic substance P and Leu 5 -enkephalin; conformational analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Several optically active organometallic Phe-AAn-Phe peptidomimetics and macrocyclic Phe-(Phe)n peptides have been synthesized by either intra- or intermolecular peptide bond formation of the corresponding bis(amino acid) derivatives. The key bis(amino acid) derivatives were available from an improved multi-step synthetic route, utilising Horner-Wadswort-Emmons olefination of organometallic aldehydes with phosphonylglycine reagents, enantioselective hydrogenation of didehydro amino acids and classical solution and/or solid phase peptide synthesis methodology.
