11. Structural characterization of complex inorganic materials using solid-state NMR spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : Over the past decades, advancements in technology have relied greatly on the development of new functional inorganic materials. Detailed structural characterization of these materials is key for the understanding and also prediction of chemical and physical properties. LÄS MER
12. Optical and Structural Characterization of GaN Based Hybrid Structures and Nanorods
Sammanfattning : GaN belongs to the group III nitrides and is today the material of choice for efficient blue light emission, enabling solid state white lighting by combining red, blue and green light emitting diodes (LED) or by having a blue LED illuminating a phosphor. By combining GaN quantum well (QW) structures with colloids, nanoparticles or polyfluorene films, LEDs may be fabricate at lower cost. LÄS MER
13. Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Copper(I) Complexes with Hard Donor Ligands
Sammanfattning : Syntheses and crystal structures of nine new copper(I) complexes and one novel mixed-valence copper(I/II) complex are reported: two homoleptic phenoxides and eight complexes with N-donor ligands. The copper(I) and the copper(I/II) phenoxide complexes have been prepared by reactions between mesitylcopper(I) and 2-allyl-6-methylphenol in toluene. LÄS MER
14. Metal Hydrogen Interaction and Structural Characterization of Amorphous Materials from first principles
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, first-principles calculations based on density functional theory have been employed to investigate metal hydrogen interaction in transition, p-block and rare earth metals. Furthermore, the accuracy of the stochastic quenching method was tested in describing the structure of amorphous Fe(1-x)Zrx. LÄS MER
