  1. 1. Kamrateffekter i skolundervisning – En ramfaktorteoretisk analys

    Författare :Pontus Bäckström; Sangeeta Bagga-Gupta; Rebecka Florin Sädbom; Vezir Aktaş; Ulf P. Lundgren; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; compositional effects; peer effects; frame factor theory; structural equation modelling;

    Sammanfattning : In the educational literature on peer effects, attention has been brought to the fact that the mechanisms creating peer effects are still to a large extent hidden in obscurity. The hypothesis in this study is that the Frame Factor Theory can be used to explain these mechanisms. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Gendered experiences of work environment : A study of stress and ambiguity among dental students in Sweden

    Författare :Ingrid Schéle; Leif Hedman; Anne Hammarström; Eva Bejerot; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; dental students; Swedish dental education; work and organisational theories; gender power relations; ambiguity; perceived stress; satisfaction; grounded theory; content analysis; SEM; cluster analysis; tandläkarstudenter; svensk tandläkarutbildning; arbets- och organisations teorier; genus och makt relationer; ambiguitet; upplevd stress; nöjdhet; grundad teori; innehållsanalys; SEM; kluster analys; Applied psychology; Tillämpad psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores how dental students experience their education. We aim to generate ways to understand which elements relate to the students’ experience based on current theories and models regarding the quality of working life and gender (and) power relations. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Towards a flexible statistical modelling by latent factors for evaluation of simulated responses to climate forcings

    Författare :Ekaterina Fetisova; Gudrun Brattström; Anders Moberg; Rolf Sundberg; Johan Lindström; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Confirmatory Factor Analysis; Measurement Error models; Structural Equation models; Wald confidence interval; Fieller confidence set; Climate model simulations; Climate forcings; Climate proxy data; Detection and Attribution; Mathematical Statistics; matematisk statistik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, using the principles of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and the cause-effect concept associated with structural equation modelling (SEM), a new flexible statistical framework for evaluation of climate model simulations against observational data is suggested. The design of the framework also makes it possible to investigate the magnitude of the influence of different forcings on the temperature as well as to investigate a general causal latent structure of temperature data. 5. 5. Children's Social Emotional Competence : Advances in assessment and practice

    Författare :Sarah Thomas; Laura Ferrer-Wreder; Lilianne Eninger; Petra Lindfors; Kyle Eichas; Kim Schonert-Reichl; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; social and emotional competence; empathy; moral development; early childhood care and education; Preschool and Kindergarten Behaviour Scales PKBS ; Sweden; Pakistan; Social Competence Scale - teacher version SCS-T ; Structural Equation Modeling; Bayesian factor analysis; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this dissertation was to examine associations between different facets of children’s social emotional competence in culturally diverse samples. Specifically, I explored associations between relationship skills (i.e., cooperation, listening skills, turn-taking, seeking help), social awareness (i. LÄS MER
