16. Assessment of attenuation correction methods for quantitative neuro-PET/MR
Sammanfattning : Hybrid PET/magnetic resonance (MR) can provide physiological, functional, and structural information simultaneously, facilitating research in neurological disorders. For quantitative PET, correction for photon attenuation (AC) is necessary. LÄS MER
17. Methods for the analysis and characterization of brain morphology from MRI images
Sammanfattning : Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an imaging modality that produces detailed images of the brain without using any ionizing radiation. From a structural MRI scan, it is possible to extract morphological properties of different brain regions, such as their volume and shape. LÄS MER
18. Cancer imaging and image analysis methods in whole-body MRI and PET/MRI
Sammanfattning : Diagnostic medical imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) can provide structural and functional assessments of the whole body. This has great value for potentially systemic diseases such as cancer. LÄS MER
19. Study of neurodegenerative diseases with novel MRI techniques
Sammanfattning : Neurodegenerative diseases are a heterogeneous group of disorders that are characterized by the progressive degeneration of structure and function of the nervous system. They include diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), multiple sclerosis (MS) and others. LÄS MER
20. Fetal Anomalies : Surveillance and Diagnostic Accuracy of Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Sammanfattning : The aims were to investigate the accuracy of ultrasound in diagnosis of structural fetal anomalies with special focus on false positive findings (I), to evaluate the additional value of second trimester fetal MRI on pregnancy management (II-III) and to estimate the ascertainment in the Swedish Birth Defects Registry and incidence of spina bifida and cleft lip/palate (IV). Retrospectively, 328 fetal autopsies were identified where pregnancies were terminated due to ultrasonographically diagnosed fetal anomalies. LÄS MER
