21. On LFSR based Stream Ciphers - analysis and design
Sammanfattning : Stream ciphers are cryptographic primitives used to ensure privacy in digital communication. In this thesis we focus on stream ciphers built using Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs). Several different stream ciphers are analysed and new attacks are presented. In addition, two new stream ciphers are presented, both based on the same design. LÄS MER
22. Efficient implementation of stream applications on processor arrays
Sammanfattning : This thesis concludes work conducted on exploring the usage of parallel and reconfigurable processor architectures in industrial high-performance embedded systems. This kind of systems has by tradition been built using a mix of digital signal processors and custom made hardware. LÄS MER
23. Salmonid behaviour under winter conditions
Sammanfattning : Winter conditions are believed to play an important role in the population dynamics of northern temperate stream fish, challenging the ability of fish to physiologically and behaviourally adapt. Climate change is predicted to increase both mean temperature and temperature fluctuations, especially during winter, leading to dynamic environmental conditions in terms of river ice production and flow. 24. Effects of fine woody debris on juvenile brown trout (Salmo trutta) and drifting invertebrates
Sammanfattning : In boreal forest streams, woody debris is an important habitat component. Stream invertebrates and salmonids such as brown trout benefit from in-stream wood. LÄS MER
25. The Lagrangian Stochastic Advective-Reactive Approach to Modeling Solute Transport in Hydrological Systems
Sammanfattning : The Lagrangian stochastic advective-reactive modelingapproach has been used for analyzing transport of bothnonreactive and reactive solutes in different hydrologicalsystems (structured soil, groundwater, mining waste rockdeposits and surface waters including single stream and networkof streams) and at different spatio-temporal scales (rangingfrom laboratory column-scale to catchment-scale). Further, afirst step has been taken to extending the Lagrangianstochastic advective-reactive modeling methodology to integratethe soil-groundwater-stream transport through a catchment. LÄS MER
