  1. 1. Properties of Hadronization in e+e- -Annihilation

    Författare :Jari Häkkinen; Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; högenergi; colour interferences; strong interactions; QCD; heavy quark fragmentation; MC programs; Kosmisk strålning; cosmic rays; hadronization; High energy interactions; e e- -annihilation; Fysicumarkivet A:1996:Häkkinen;

    Sammanfattning : Possible effects from colour interferences in strong interactions are discussed and investigated, and possible experimental signals in e+e- --> hadrons and e+e- --> W+W- --> hadrons are suggested. The observability of the signals depend on the relative probabilities of the occurrence of interferences, and can provide a measurement of the probabilities. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Thermodynamic Toolkit for Chemical Recycling to Monomer

    Författare :Linnea Cederholm; Karin Odelius; Minna Hakkarainen; Peter Olsen; Louis Pitet; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; chemical recycling to monomer; polymerization thermodynamics; ring-opening polymerization; solvent effect; polyester; polycarbonate; copolymer; Fiber- och polymervetenskap; Fibre and Polymer Science;

    Sammanfattning : The design of polymeric materials for a circular economy is, to a largeextent, a challenge of thermodynamics. The work presented in this thesishas explored the thermodynamic features of ring-opening polymerizationand ring-closing depolymerization, to develop polymeric materials andrecycling strategies for chemical recycling to monomer. 3. 3. Local Effects On Icing Forecasts for Wind Power In Cold Climate

    Författare :Erik Janzon; Anna Rutgersson; Johan Arnqvist; Metodija Shapkalijevski; Heiner Körnich; Ebba Dellwik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis will examine the local effects of land cover on icing forecasts. In Paper I, a single column model was used to test the sensitivity of icing forecasts to land cover fraction. Here, the ice accretion forecast was found to be highly sensitive to the wind magnitude response to the surface roughness. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Protective Responses to Freediving Reveal High-Altitude Tolerance

    Författare :Pontus Holmström; Erika Schagatay; Angelica Lodin-Sundström; Harald K. Engan; Ola Eiken; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acclimatization; Acute Mountain Sickness; Adaptation; Apnea; Breath-hold diving; Cardiovascular diving response; High-altitude; Hypoxia tolerance; Spleen; Acklimatisering; Andhållningsdykning; Anpassning; Apné; Kardiovaskulära dykresponsen; Hög höjd; Hypoxitolerans; Hög-höjdssjukdom; Mjälte; Syrebärande kapacitet;

    Sammanfattning : High-altitude mountaineers - just as freedivers - are exposed to hypoxia. During freediving, the diving response leads to reduced oxygen consumption, and splenic contraction increases circulating hemoglobin concentration (Hb), which enhances freediving performance. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of critical enablers for Unmanned Traffic Management

    Författare :Leonid Sedov; Valentin Polishchuk; Tobias Andersson Granberg; Yan Xu; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : As the interest in drones continues to grow in both commercial and leisure markets, governments around the world are preparing to face the new challenges arising from unmanned operations. Safe and efficient handling of this novel drone traffic warrants an Unmanned Traf-fic Management (UTM) system capable of dealing with the envisioned high traffic densities. LÄS MER
