  1. 1. Clinical Aspects on Chimney Stent Graft Technique in Endovascular Repair of the Aorta

    Författare :Adel BinJabr; Vaskulära sjukdomar - kliniska studier; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Chimney stent graft; chimney graft; chimney graft technique; snorkel technique; endovascular aortic repair; thoracic endovascular aortic repair; endoleak; patency; rupture; urgent; stent-graft; stent; graft; aorta; computed tomography; ultrasound; stenosis; EVAR; TEVAR; CTA; MRI; AAA; TAAA; supraaortic; visceral; aneurysm; dissection; mycotic infection; stent-graft infection; follow-up; endovascular complication; sandwich technique; periscope graft; periscope graft technique.;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Open repair of the aorta carries a high risk for morbidity and mortality especially in the elderly population and in patients unfit for major surgery. Endovascular aortic repair is safe, durable and effective when there is adequate proximal and distal sealing zone for the aortic stent graft. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Anastomotic leakage in colorectal surgery : early diagnosis and treatment with stent

    Författare :Ioannis Oikonomakis; Kjell Jansson; Tal M. Hörer; Pär Myrelid; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; anastomotic leakage; colorectal cancer; intraperitoneal microdialysis; cytokines; mRNA analysis; stent;

    Sammanfattning : Every year inn Sweden more than 6000 individuals are diagnosed with colorectal cancer and more than 5000 operations are performed. Anastomotic leakage (AL) is the most dreaded complication in colorectal surgery and has a great impact on postoperative morbidity and mortality. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Stent treatment of perforated duodenal ulcer - physiology and clinical aspects

    Författare :Jorge Alberto Arroyo Vázquez; Göteborgs universitet; Göteborgs universitet; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Stent; Gastroscopy; Perforated duodenal ulcer; Proton Pump inhibitor; Gastric bacterial flora; Gastric pH; Pylorus; EndoFLIP™; Pyloric motility;

    Sammanfattning : Background The incidence of perforated duodenal ulcer is decreasing but still constitutes a life-threatening complication to peptic ulcer disease. Abdominal contamination from gastric or duodenal content occurs during perforations. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Clinical And Experimental Studies of Contact Allergy to Stent Metals - with focus on gold

    Författare :Susanne Ekqvist; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; B-Au; patch testing; restenosis; contact allergy; Dermatology; metals; gold; stent; B-Ni; nickel;

    Sammanfattning : A large number of patients are treated with coronary stents, and restenosis (recurrent narrowing of the vessel) is a serious problem. Contact allergy to metal ions eluted from stainless steel stents has been suggested to contribute to in-stent restenosis. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Interventions for portal hypertension in patients with portal vein occlusion and possible effects of a stent-graft on hepatic circulation

    Författare :Inger Keussen; Malmö Diagnostisk radiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; recanalization; TIPS; hepatic vein occlusion; children; Key words: portal vein occlusion; scintigraphy; stent; portal hypertension;

    Sammanfattning : Symptomatic portal hypertension (PH), is often treated by transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS). Patients with PH, caused by prehepatic portal vein occlusion, require recanalization with stent or stent-graft often followed by additional TIPS. LÄS MER
