1. Constitutive and fatigue crack propagation behaviour of Inconel 718
Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis the work done in the TURBO POWER project Influence of high temperature hold times on the fatigue life of nickel-based superalloys will be presented. The overall objective of this project is to develop and evaluate tools for designing against fatigue in gas turbine applications, with special focus on the nickel-based superalloy Inconel 718. 2. Sakrättsliga moment och deras ekonomiska konsekvenser
Sammanfattning : This thesis is a study on the Swedish system concerning perfection of rights in rem, i.e. the requirements which must be fulfilled if a purchaser or pledgee is to become protected against third party’s rights on the seller’s or pledgor’s side. In the first part of the study the perfection requirements are analysed from a legal perspective. LÄS MER
3. Quantum Chemical Modeling of Dye-Sensitized Titanium Dioxide : Ruthenium Polypyridyl and Perylene Dyes, TiO2 Nanoparticles, and Their Interfaces
Sammanfattning : Quantum chemical calculations have been used to model dye-sensitized nanostructured titanium dioxide systems that can be used in solar cells for solar energy to electricity conversion. Structural, electronic and spectral properties of isolated dyes and both bare and dye-sensitized TiO2 have been calculated with density functional theory, providing detailed information about both the separate parts and the dye-TiO2 interface. 4. Computational Investigation of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
Sammanfattning : Interfaces between semiconductors and adsorbed molecules form a central area of research in surface science, occurring in many different contexts. One such application is the so-called Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) where the nanostructured dye-semiconductor interface is of special interest, as this is where the most important ultrafast electron transfer process takes place. 5. Discrete-Event Simulation for Hospital Resource Planning : Possibilities and Requirements
Sammanfattning : The delivery of health care services has been under pressure due to limited funding and increasing demand. This has highlighted the need to increase not only the effectiveness but also the efficiency of health care delivery. LÄS MER
