16. Hadronization Effects in the Strong Interaction
Sammanfattning : Different hadronization effects in high energy interactions are investigated. The frame-work is the Lund model for the strong interaction. A model for baryon production in jet fragmentation is presented and extended to baryon remnant fragmentation in deep inelastic scattering and hadron--hadron collisions. LÄS MER
17. Structure Functions and Final-State Properties in Deeply Inelastic electron-proton Scattering
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we give a description of the detailed structure of the proton and a description of the final-state properties in electron-proton scattering. Qualitative results, in a purely gluonic scenario with the leading log approximation, and quantitative results, where quarks are included and some sub-leading corrections have been made, are presented. 18. Correlations in multiparticle production
Sammanfattning : Different aspects of the strong interaction in particle collisions are studied. Most of the work is based on the Lund string fragmentation model for hadron production. A model which incorporates interference between identical bosons in the string model is presented. LÄS MER
19. Extending the nuclear cranking model to tilted axis rotation and alternative mean field potentials
Sammanfattning : The nuclear model for three dimensional cranking is extended to include a generalization of the Strutinski renormalization procedure from principal axis cranking to cranking about an tilted axis. A new computer code has been written for realistic, full-scale calculations within the three dimensional cranking model. LÄS MER
20. Gaps, Traps and Lattices - Correlations in Small Quantum Systems
Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates properties of two-dimensional many-body systems. Studies are performed using the Spin-Density Functional Theory with the Local Spin-Density Approximation, and numerical exact diagonalization. LÄS MER
