16. Thermoelectric phenomena in low-dimensional semiconductor systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates thermoelectric effects, predominantly in low-dimensional semiconductors. Various novel phenomena are predicted, investigated and discussed. LÄS MER
17. On Experimental and Theoretical Studies of Dynamics and Particle Production in p+Nucleus and Heavy Ion Reactions
Sammanfattning : Several experiments and theoretical models of intermediate energy heavy ion collision physics are presented in this thesis. Statistical and dynamical aspects of nuclear collisions are widely discussed these days, particularly in connection with the multifragmentation phenomenon and the possible link to a liquid-gas phase transition in the spinodal region of nuclear matter phase diagram. 18. Measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson cross sections in the WW* decay mode with the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis summarises measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson production cross sections based on proton–proton collision data at √s = 13 TeV produced by the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. By analysing data collected during 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 fb−1, the Higgs boson gluon–gluon fusion and vector boson fusion production cross sections are measured in the WW* decay mode. 19. Pion and Kaon Dynamics at Higher Orders in Chiral Perturbation Theory
Sammanfattning : Higher orders calculations of processes involving the pion and kaon pseudo-scalar mesons are presented in the framework of three flavour Chiral Perturbation Theory. The purpose is two-fold. First determining the low energy constants of ChPT that are necessary for higher accuracy predictions. LÄS MER
20. Hadronization Effects in the Strong Interaction
Sammanfattning : Different hadronization effects in high energy interactions are investigated. The frame-work is the Lund model for the strong interaction. A model for baryon production in jet fragmentation is presented and extended to baryon remnant fragmentation in deep inelastic scattering and hadron--hadron collisions. LÄS MER
