  1. 16. Stability Properties of Switched Dynamical Systems A Linear Matrix Inequality Approach

    Författare :Marcus Rubensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The dynamical properties of many natural phenomena are traditionally described by smooth differential equation models. The use of automated control structures imposes new behaviors on the controlled system. Actions are often organized in a logical manner. Switched dynamical models are a natural extension to smooth differential equation models. LÄS MER

  2. 17. On the dynamics of footbridges : A theoretical approach and a comparison between running and walking loads

    Författare :Daniel Colmenares; Raid Karoumi; Andreas Andersson; Mahir Ülker Kaustell; Pedro Museros Romero; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; footbridges; dynamics; human induced loads; human structure interaction; harmonic load; continuous beam; gångbroar; dynamik; fotgängarlast; samverkan mellan fotgängare och bro; harmonisk last; kontinuerlig balk.; Structural Engineering and Bridges; Bro- och stålbyggnad;

    Sammanfattning : The dynamic behaviour of lightweight footbridges is often susceptible to HumanInduced Loads (HILs). Generally HILs are taken into account as moving harmonicfunctions in which the loading frequency represents the step frequency of the pedestrians. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Modelling effects of flame development on stationary and oscillating premixed turbulent combustion

    Författare :Pratap Sathiah; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flame development; Keywords: Premixed turbulent flame; Flame Speed Closure model;

    Sammanfattning : The vast majority of contemporary models of premixed turbulent flames applied to multi-dimensional RANS numerical simulations of combustion in gas turbine engines and aero-engine afterburners focus on fully-developed flames, characterized by fully-developed turbulent diffusivity, thickness, and burning velocity. However, abundant experimental data obtained from statistically stationary premixed flames clearly show that a typical turbulent flame develops as it is convected by mean flow from a stabilization zone. 4. 19. A Bayesian approach to retrospective detection of change-points in road surface measurements

    Författare :Fridtjof Thomas; Urban Hjort; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Change-point detection; retrospective view; autoregressive processes; minimal imaginary training sample; road surface measurements; international roughness index; rutting; Laser-RST vehicles; road maintenance; pavement management; statistik; Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : First-order autoregressive processes are analysed for sudden changes in parameter value. In its most general form, a multivariate vector of measurements is allowed, and no prior knowledge about the involved parameters is required. LÄS MER

  5. 20. A Chemometric Approach to Process Monitoring and Control - With Applications to Wastewater Treatment Operation

    Författare :Christian Rosén; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; robotics; Automation; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; wastewater treatment; supervisory control; simulation; process monitoring; principal component analysis PCA ; multivariate statistics; modelling; activated sludge; detection; control engineering; Automatiska system; robotteknik; reglerteknik; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : In this work, various aspects of multivariate monitoring and control of wastewater treatment operation are discussed. A number of important difficulties face operators and process engineers when handling online measurements from wastewater treatment processes. LÄS MER
