1. Development of a new service-oriented modelling method for information systems analysis and design
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a new modelling method for information systems analysis and design, where the concept of service and the principles of service orientation are used for integrated modelling and reasoning about information systems architectures across organisational and technical systems boundaries. The concept of service enables cohesion of the intersubjective and objective modelling traditions by using a single type of diagram that facilitates detection of semantic inconsistency, incompleteness, ambiguity and discontinuity between the static and dynamic aspects of information systems specifications. 2. Benchmarking Points-to Analysis
Sammanfattning : Points-to analysis is a static program analysis that, simply put, computes which objects created at certain points of a given program might show up at which other points of the same program. In particular, it computes possible targets of a call and possible objects referenced by a field. LÄS MER
3. Railway capacity analysis : Methods for simulation and evaluation of timetables, delays and infrastructure
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the symptoms and underlying behaviour of congestion on railways are analysed and discussed. As well as in many other countries, Sweden faces increasing demand for transportation. To meet this new demand, railways play an important role. LÄS MER
4. Essays on Spatial Economies and Organization
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns both static and dynamic modeling in a spatial computable general equilibrium setting. First, we have applied a static framework for the assessment of economic impacts of the Öresund bridge. Secondly, we make an attempt to enhance the static framework through the introduction of economic dynamics. LÄS MER
5. Model-Based Investigation of Machining Systems Characteristics : Static and Dynamic Stability Analysis
Sammanfattning : The increasing demands for precision and efficiency in machining call for new control strategies for machining systems based on the identification of static and dynamic characteristics under operational conditions. By considering the machining system as a closed-loop system consisting of a machine tool structure and a machining process, the join system characteristics can be analyzed. LÄS MER
