1. Shear Fracture and Delamination in Packaging Materials : A study of Experimental Methods and Simulation Techniques
Sammanfattning : Packages are the means of preservation, distribution and convenience of use for food, medicine and other consumer products. Package opening is becoming complicated in many cases because of cutting cost in design and production of opening techniques. LÄS MER
2. Towards low-emitting and sustainable particle and fibreboards : Formaldehyde emission test methods and adhesives from biorefinery lignins
Sammanfattning : High volumes, fast production speed, and low material costs have been historically the driving factors of the particle- and fibreboard industries. However, in recent years the fossil-fuel dependency and health issues of the formaldehyde-containing adhesives used in the production have gained attention from both legislators and consumers. 3. Development, application, and reliability of methods for ergonomic workload assessments in production evaluation and workstation design
Sammanfattning : Ergonomics assessments of conditions for humans at workstations and in manufacturing processes are necessary to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders and enhance efficiency and quality. Many methods can be used for this from systematic observations to direct measurements and simulation. LÄS MER
4. Measurement of alignment between standards and assessment
Sammanfattning : Many educational systems of today are standards-based and aim at for alignment, i.e. consistency, among the components of the educational system: standards, teaching and assessment. To conclude whether the alignment is sufficiently high, analyses with a useful model are needed. LÄS MER
5. Slip and fall risk on ice and snow : identification, evaluation and prevention
Sammanfattning : Slip and fall accidents and associated injuries on ice and snow are prevalent among outdoor workers and the general public in winter in many regions of the world. To understand and tackle this multi-factorial problem, a multidisciplinary approach was used to identify and evaluate slip and fall risks, and to propose recommendations for prevention of slips and falls on icy and snowy surfaces.
