  1. 11. Parametric FE-modelling of non-linear racking behaviour of light-frame shear walls and modules used for multi-storey timber buildings

    Författare :Le Kuai; Sigurdur Ormarsson; Johan Vessby; Marie Johansson; Kay-Uwe Schober; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Wood is a sustainable material from nature that has a longstanding traditionas a building material. Compared to other construction materials, such as steeland concrete, the significance of using structural timber and engineered wood products has increased in recent years because they are regarded as a renewable source and require a low carbon footprint and less energy consumption during production. 2. 12. Calibration of the ATLAS calorimeters and discovery potential for massive top quark resonances at the LHC

    Författare :Elin Bergeås Kuutmann; Jörgen Sjölin; Kerstin Jon-And; Sten Hellman; Hans Bøggild; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; particle physics; the ATLAS experiment; the Large Hadron Collider; calorimeter; calorimetry; hadronic calibration; top quark; top quark pair resonances; search for physics beyond the Standard Model; Elementary particle physics; Elementarpartikelfysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : ATLAS is a multi-purpose detector which has recently started to take data at the LHC at CERN. This thesis describes the tests and calibrations of the central calorimeters of ATLAS and outlines a search for heavy top quark pair resonances. LÄS MER

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Eva Thorin; Chris Bales; Christian Schweigler; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sorption heat pump; sorption module; thermochemical energy storage; artificial neural network; built environment; solar energy; gas-driven heat pump; solar cooling; heating and cooling; renewable energy; energy efficiency; experimental; simulation; analytical; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik; Reesbe företagsforskarskola;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of primary energy use within the European Union, therefore reductions in the energy use intensity of this sector are critical in decreasing total energy usage. Given that the majority of energy used within the built environment is for space conditioning and domestic hot water preparation, prudence would suggest that decreasing primary energy used for these end purposes would have the biggest overall environmental impact. 4. 14. On Stratified Algebras and Lie Superalgebras

    Sammanfattning : This thesis, consisting of three papers and a summary, studies properties of stratified algebras and representations of Lie superalgebras.In Paper I we give a characterization when the Ringel dual of an SSS-algebra is properly stratified. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Novel methods and software for disease module inference

    Författare :Hendrik Arnold de Weerd; Mika Gustafsson; Zelmina Lubovac; Natasa Przulj; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Cellular organization is believed to be modular, meaning cellular functions are carried out by modules composed of clusters of genes, proteins and metabolites that are interconnected, co-regulated or physically interacting. In turn, these modules interact together and thereby form complex networks that taken together is considered to be the interactome. LÄS MER
