  1. 1. Preliminary Design Investigations for the Selection of Optimum Reaction Degree for 1st Stage of a High Pressure Gas Turbine

    Författare :Hina Noor; Torsten Fransson; Konstantinos G. Kyprianidis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 1D design; aerodynamic design parameters; flow kinematic; thermodynamics; rotor inlet temperature; cooled turbine; reaction degree; flow coefficient; stage loading;

    Sammanfattning : One-dimensional (1D) turbine design calculation phase requires a handful of input data and choice of design parameters to provide the blade flow path geometry along with the flow kinematics and thermodynamics properties at the blade mid-span. The choice of important aerodynamics design parameters namely reaction degree, nozzle guide vane NGV exit flow angle or flow coefficient and stage loading defines the mid-span flow velocity triangles. 2. 2. On various protocols for direct loading of implant-supported fixed prostheses

    Författare :Pär-Olov Östman; Göteborgs universitet; Göteborgs universitet; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :dental implants; immediate loading; clinical studies; radiography; implant stability; resonance frequency analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Backgrund: Prosthetic rehabilitation of the edentulous patient with implant-supported bridges is today a routine and predictable treatment modality. The original protocol prescribed a healing period of 3 to 6 months prior to loading which means that the total treatment time can be extensive and that the patients often need to wear removable provisional prostheses during healing and treatment. 3. 3. Serviceability Limit State for Steel Girders during Bridge Launching - A Patch Loading Problem

    Författare :Per Granath; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :steel; patch loading; plate girders; bridge launching; post-buckling; behaviour; finite element analysis; serviceability limit state;

    Sammanfattning : Incremental launching is a construction method in which bridge girders are first assembled in the vicinity of the future permanent position of the bridge. When the elements have been welded together the girders are launched to their permanent position. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Discrete element simulation of elasto-plastic shock waves in high-velocity compaction

    Författare :Muhammad Shoaib; Leaf Kari; Bruska Azhdar; Wim Desmet; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; High-velocity compaction; Discrete element method; Plastic deformaiton; dynaimic loading; elasto-plastic shock wave; Friction; Adhesion; Physics; Fysik; Järnvägsgruppen - Ljud och vibrationer; Järnvägsgruppen - Ljud och vibrationer;

    Sammanfattning : Elasto-plastic shock waves in high-velocity compaction of spherical metal particles are the focus of this thesis which consists of four papers (A-D). The compaction process is modeled by a discrete element method while using elastic and plastic loading, elastic unloading and adhesion at contacts. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Efficient mineral liberation – Multidimensional investigation of mechanical stress and ore texture

    Författare :Parisa Semsari Parapari; Jan Rosenkranz; Mehdi Parian; Hakan Benzer; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Loading mechanism; Ore texture; Breakage mode; Fracture energy; Fragmentation; Breakage mechanism; Statistical analysis; 3D Deformation; Crack quantification; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Sammanfattning : Within mineral comminution, the product properties (such as particle size distribution and mineral liberation characteristics) along with process efficiency are affected by material related and process environment factors. Understanding and optimizing these factors leads to designing and developing an energy-efficient process with a specified product. LÄS MER
