    Sammanfattning : Stockholm, in just a few decades, was transformed from a largely medieval fortress town to a modern capital city. The street regulation which was carried out in Stockholm during the years 1625-1650 and which in the central parts of the city still exist as a recognizable pattern for streets and city blocks was an important part of this transformation.     Sammanfattning : The modal share of bicycle traffic in Stockholm increased from 20 per cent to over 30 per cent during the 1930s, and reached staggering levels during World War Two – peaking at over 70 per cent. Soon after the war, however, the share declined rapidly. LÄS MER
