21. Science mapping and research evaluation : a novel methodology for creating normalized citation indicators and estimating their stability
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the methodology at the intersection of relational and evaluative bibliometrics. Experimental investigations are presented that address the question of how we can most successfully produce estimates of the subject similarity between documents. LÄS MER
22. Stability analysis of channel flow laden with small particles
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the stability of particle laden flows. Both modal and non-modal linear analyses have been performed on two-way coupled particleladen flows, where particles are considered spherical, solid and either heavy or light. When heavy particles are considered, only Stokes drag is used as interaction term. LÄS MER
23. Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analysis of BWR Stability
Sammanfattning : Best Estimate codes are used for licensing, but with conservative assumptions. It is claimed that the uncertainties are covered by the conservatism of the calculation. LÄS MER
24. On Modeling and Stability Analysis of Grid-Connected Voltage Source Converters
Sammanfattning : With increasing deployment of voltage source converters (VSCs) in the grid, instability phenomena due to converter--grid interactions have been observed. Modeling and stability analysis of grid-connected VSCs have become popular research topics. LÄS MER
25. Stability analysis and inertial regimes in complex flows
Sammanfattning : In this work we rst study the non-Newtonian effects on the inertial instabilities in shear flows and second the inertial suspensions of finite size rigid particles by means of numerical simulations. In the first part, both inelastic (Carreau) and elastic models (Oldroyd-B and FENE-P) have been employed to examine the main features of the non-Newtonian fluids in several congurations; flow past a circular cylinder, in a lid-driven cavity and in a channel.
