This dissertation focuses on Melami history in Bosnia with emphasis on the 20th century. The well-known Melami master Hajrullah Abdurahmanovic (d. 1965) in this study becomes an exponent for changes in the political and social role of religion in course of the 20th century. LÄS MER

In the mandatory, integrative and non-confessional school subject of Religious Education in Sweden, all students are taught together regardless of religious or secular affiliation. The overall aim of this thesis is to explore and analyse how Religious Education (RE) can be socially constructed in the upper secondary school classroom practice in the pluralistic context of contemporary Sweden. Shusaku Endo (1923-1996) is a Roman Catholic, Japanese novelist. From 1950 to 1953, he studied French literature in Lyon, France. Returning from Lyon, Endo began his career as a novelist. The thesis focuses on the way the Amish view their life and actions as Christians. With its basis in first-hand observations from the settlements of Dover (DE) and Lancaster (PA) the inquiry describes, analyzes and interprets the ecclesiastical life of the Old Order Amish from an ecclesiological viewpoint.
