1. Spherical Indentation Technique for Multiscale Characterisation of Asphalt Mixtures
Sammanfattning : The viscoelastic properties of asphalt mixtures strongly influence the performance of flexible pavements with respect to their resistance to several common distress modes. Therefore, accurate measurement of these properties and their change during the service life is an important area of ongoing research. LÄS MER
2. Mechanical Behaviour of Gas Turbine Coatings
Sammanfattning : Coatings are frequently applied on gas turbine components inorder to restrict surface degradation such as corrosion andoxidation of the structural material or to thermally insulatethe structural material against the hot environment, therebyincreasing the efficiency of the turbine. However, in order toobtain accurate lifetime expectancies and performance of thecoatings system it is necessary to have a reliableunderstanding of the mechanical properties and failuremechanisms of the coatings. 3. Mechanical modeling of granite subjected to indentation loading
Sammanfattning : The understanding of the mechanical response of Bohus granite, as typical of hard rocks, to percussive drilling is important to improve the efficiency of such an operation. The resulting problem includes material modeling of the selected type of rock under indentation loading conditions. LÄS MER
4. Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Plasma Atomized Refractory Alloys
Sammanfattning : Plasma centrifugal atomization is a method widely used in the production of spherical powders of metals and alloys with relatively low melting points. A novel plasma centrifugal atomization process suitable for high melting point materials (i.e. 3500 ᵒC and above) was developed by Metasphere Technology AB, currently Höganäs Sweden AB. LÄS MER
5. Mechanical modeling of granite subjected to contact loading
Sammanfattning : The mechanical properties of Bohus granite subjected to contact loading is investigated based on experimental and numerical results. An elasto-plastic constitutive material model combined with a damage description is employed. The material model parameters are determined based on experimental results. LÄS MER
