21. Applications of laser spectroscopy to analytical chemistry, environmental monitoring and medicine
Sammanfattning : In this thesis spectroscopic techniques have been used in the fields of analytical chemistry, environmental and medical applications. In analytical chemistry, laser induced fluorescence was used to image the separation of substances during capillary electrophoresis. LÄS MER
22. High Resolution Analysis of Halftone Prints : A Colorimetric and Multispectral Study
Sammanfattning : To reproduce color images in print, the continuous tone image is first transformed into a binary halftone image, producing various colors by discrete dots with varying area coverage. In halftone prints on paper, physical and optical dot gains generally occur, making the print look darker than expected, and making the modeling of halftone color reproduction a challenge. LÄS MER
23. Physical properties of chromospheric features : Plage, peacock jets, and calibrating it all
Sammanfattning : The chromosphere is a complex and dynamic layer of the solar atmosphere, largely dominated by the local magnetic field configuration. It acts as an important interface between the photosphere below it and the hot corona above. However, studying this layer is not straightforward, as it is largely transparent in optical wavelengths. 24. In Vivo Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy of Human Tissue : From Point Measurements to Imaging
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the non-invasive use of diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) to provide information about the biochemical composition of living tissue. During DRS measurements, the incident, visible light is partially absorbed by chromophores but also scattered in the tissue before being remitted. LÄS MER
25. Frequency Recognition Algorithm for Multiple Exposures : Snapshot imaging using coded light
Sammanfattning : The central challenge tackled in this thesis is the development of an optical imaging approach capable of multidimensional image capture of dynamic samples. Many conventional optical imaging approaches, which can obtain dimensional information such as spectral, polarisation, or volumetric, to name a few, about samples either employ sequential image capture or parallelised detector arrangements.
