What/whom are the factors/actors that influence the ways in which the city is shaped? How can the international differences in the shape of cities be explained? 4. Spatial Spread of Organisms : Modeling ecological and epidemiological processes
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the spread of organisms in both ecological and epidemiological contexts. In most of the studies presented, displacement is modeled with a spatial kernel function, which is characterized by scale and shape. These are measured by the net squared displacement (or kernel variance) and kurtosis, respectively. LÄS MER
5. Genetic structure and dispersal in plant populations
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the spatial structure and methods to identify spatial structure in plants. Methods that investigate genetic structure can mainly be divided into equilibrium methods that reveal summed dispersal over many generations, and cluster methods, that reveal more recent dispersal events.
