1. Textile Sound Design
Sammanfattning : The thesis aims at developing conceptual and methodological tools in order to adapt sound in a “designerly” way within the discipline textile design. Occupational groups working with sound are to a large extent problem driven. LÄS MER
2. Robust Sound Field Control for Audio Reproduction : A Polynomial Approach to Discrete-Time Acoustic Modeling and Filter Design
Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the design and analysis of robust discrete-time filters for audio equalization and sound field control in real reverberant environments. Inspired by methods in polynomial control theory, a unified framework for acoustic modeling and filter design is developed. LÄS MER
3. A high-order accurate, collocated boundary element method for wave propagation in layered media
Sammanfattning : The ultimate goal of this research is to construct a hybrid model for sound propagation in layered underwater environments with curved boundaries by employing a differential formulation for inhomogeneous layers and a boundary integral formulation for homogeneous layers. The discretization of the new hybrid model is a combination of a finite difference method for the Helmholtz equation for inhomogeneous media and a collocated boundary element method (BEM) for the integral equation for homogeneous media, while taking special care of the open boundaries and the common interface. 4. Interactive computer-aided expressive music performance : Analysis, control, modification and synthesis
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the design and implementation process of two applications (PerMORFer and MoodifierLive) for the interactive manipulation of music performance. Such applications aim at closing the gap between the musicians, who play the music, and the listeners, who passively listen to it. LÄS MER
5. Skolutveckling som diskursiv praktik : Några ideologiska implikationer
Sammanfattning : This study aims at highlighting the ideological implications of school development as a discursive practice. More comprehensively the aim is also contributing to rearrangements and shifts in perspective when school development is the matter. LÄS MER
