  1. 1. Aroma Partition and Release from Soft Drinks, Jam, and Jellied Sweets

    Författare :Annika Hansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; gas chromatography; aroma; gel; model mouth; partition coefficient; release; citric acid; pectin; in-nose; sugar; proton-transfer reaction mass spectrometry; soft drink;

    Sammanfattning : The research described in the present thesis was focused on the influence of food ingredients and structures on the partition and release of aroma compounds from model systems such as soft drinks, jam, and jellied sweets. The effects on aroma release were studied during both static and dynamic conditions, the latter by both model mouth and in-nose measurements. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Perspectives of Aerodynamic Drag and Cooling Airflow for Heavy-Duty Trucks - Reconsidering European Total Length Legislation

    Författare :Helena Martini; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cooling airflow; CFD; under-hood design; soft nose; truck-trailer combinations; inlet duct; outlet duct; aerodynamic drag;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing fuel prices and constantly lowered emission legislation forces the vehicle industry to develop new methods for propelling vehicles and to optimize existing technology. Trucks constitute a significant proportion of the transportation system; consequently it is of great importance to ensure as low an impact as possible on the environment. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Straight from the horse’s mouth : What we can learn about rein tension by observing horse behaviour

    Författare :Marie Eisersiö; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Horse-rider-interaction is largely dependent on rein tension signals which, through pressure and release, communicate with the horse about pace, direction of travel and appropriate head posture. However, the pressures applied on the horse’s mouth and/or head via the reins can cause pain and discomfort, leading to evasive behaviour and oral injuries. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Evaluation of surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion and orthodontic treatment : Effects on dental, skeletal and nasal structures and rhinological findings

    Författare :Anders Magnusson; Agneta Marcusson; Krister Bjerklin; Peter Nilsson; Torbjörn Ledin; Maria Ransjö; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Surgically Assisted Rapid Maxillary Expansion (SARME) is frequently used to treat skeletal maxillary transverse deficiency (MTD) in skeletally mature and non-growing individuals. Despite previous research in the field, questions remain with respect to the long-term stability of SARME and its effects on hard and soft tissue. LÄS MER
