21. Nätverkskoordineringens dualiteter
Sammanfattning : By comparing intra- and interorganizational coordination, the purpose is to gain increased know-ledge of the mechanisms of coordination in network structures. The study is based on a longitudi-nal case study of coordination in a network structure, where coordination processes are taking place inside and between independent companies in a conveyor manufacturing industry. 22. Neutron Spectroscopy : Instrumentation and Methods for Fusion Plasmas
Sammanfattning : When the heavy hydrogen isotopes deuterium (D) and tritium (T) undergo nuclear fusion large amounts of energy are released. At the Joint European Torus (JET) research is performed on how to harvest this energy. Two of the most important fusion reactions, d+d→3He+n (En = 2.5 MeV) and d+t→4He+n (En = 14 MeV), produce neutrons. LÄS MER
23. Engineering superconducting qubits : towards a quantum machine
Sammanfattning : A quantum computer is an information processing machine, much like an ordinary classical computer, but its function is based on quantum mechanical principles. To be able to construct such a machine would be a fantastic accomplishment---to have total control over a quantum system is a dream for both physicists and science-fiction enthusiasts. LÄS MER
24. Med älgen i huvudrollen : Om fångstgropar, hällbilder och skärvstensvallar i mellersta Norrland
Sammanfattning : The importance of the elk (Alces alces) in the Stone Age societies of northern Sweden constitutes the major focus of this thesis. The point of departure is a simple but crucial observation: this animal is the common denominator between the three stationary types of remains known in this region from the period 4000-1800 BC. 25. Dewatering aspects at the forming section of the paper machine : Rewetting and forming fabric structure
Sammanfattning : The underlying motives of the research undertaken here are twofold: to obtain a deeper understanding of the dewatering mechanisms at the forming section of a papermaking machine and to develop numerical models that describe the flow through forming fabrics. More comprehensive knowledge of dewatering in the forming section allows suggestions to be made for improvements that reduce the amount of energy used in the process without affecting the quality of the end product.
