  1. 1. Site-Specific Recombination : Integrases, Accessory Factors and DNA Targets of P2-like Coliphages

    Författare :Lina Sylwan; Elisabeth Haggård-Ljungquist; Margaret C. M. Smith; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Genetics; Genetik; molekylärgenetik; Molecular Genetics;

    Sammanfattning : The temperate coliphage P2 and its family members integrate their genomes into the host Escherichia coli chromosome by a site-specific recombination mechanism to form lysogeny. Integration takes place between the complex phage attP site and the simple bacterial attB site and is catalyzed by the phage encoded integrase (Int). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Single-photon multiple ionisation of atoms and molecules investigated by coincidence spectroscopy : Site-specific effects in acetaldehyde and carbon dioxide

    Författare :Sergey Zagorodskikh; Raimund Feifel; Vitali Zhaunerchyk; Melanie Mucke; Maria Novella Piancastelli; Tom Field; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; acetaldehyde; carbon dioxide; xenon; electron correlation; double ionisation; triple ionisation; core-valence ionisation; site-specific Auger decay; multiple Auger decay; branching ratios; site-specific photodissociation; molecular rearrangement; time-of-flight multi-electron-ion coincidence spectroscopy; synchrotron radiation; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, multiple ionisation processes of free atoms and molecules upon single photon absorption are studied by means of a versatile multi-electron-ion coincidence spectroscopy method based on a magnetic bottle, primarily in combination with synchrotron radiation. The latter offered the possibility to access not only valence but also core levels, revealing processes, which promote the target systems into different charge states. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Before Sound: Transversal Processes in Site-Specific Sonic Practice

    Författare :Åsa Stjerna; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; sound installation; site specific; site specificity; sound art; artistic research; philosophy of immanence; assemblage; affect; ethics; public space; transversality; transversal; Gilles Deleuze; Félix Guattari; sonification; sound design; sonic practice; transformation;

    Sammanfattning : This doctoral research explores the capacity of site-specific practices of sound installation to bring about transformation. It claims that in order to understand this capacity, we need to address the complexity of the transversal processes that make up artistic practices in this field, and understand that these transversal processes in fact precede sound. 4. 4. Ta plats : Plats-specifika spel i dialog med feministisk teknovetenskap

    Författare :Annika Olofsdotter Bergström; Pirjo Elovaara; Åsa Ståhl; Monica Sand; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; site-specific games; playable cities; feminist technoscience; playingdesign; intra-action; care; touch; Plats-specifika spel; spelbara städer; feministisk teknovetenskap; spelandekropp; spelandedesign; intra-aktion; omsorg; beröring; Technoscience studies; Teknovetenskapliga studier;

    Sammanfattning : Min utgångpunkt för den här avhandlingen är att undersöka hur ett spelande som utgår från spelarnas fysiska kroppar och publika platser kan få betydelse i städers vardagsliv. Jag utgår ifrån att den fysiska platsen och spelarens kropp får för lite uppmärksamhet i plats-specifika spel. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of a covalent site-specific antibody labeling strategy by the use of photoactivable Z domains

    Författare :Anna Konrad; Sophia Hober; Hjalmar Brismar; Patrik Samuelsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :antibody labeling; site-specific; covalent; SPPS; Z domain; BPA; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The joining of two molecular functions or the strategy of adding functions to proteins has been tremendously important for the development of proteins as tools in research and clinic. Depending on the intended application, there are a wide variety of functions that can be added to a proteins. LÄS MER
