  1. 1. On Modeling and Stability Analysis of Grid-Connected Voltage Source Converters

    Författare :Hongyang Zhang; Stefan Östlund; Xiaoming Yuan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Low-inertia grid; multiple-input multiple-output MIMO ; single-input single-output SISO ; small-signal model; stability analysis; voltage source converters VSCs ; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : With increasing deployment of voltage source converters (VSCs) in the grid, instability phenomena due to converter--grid interactions have been observed. Modeling and stability analysis of grid-connected VSCs have become popular research topics. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Characterization and Compensation of Hardware Impairments in Transmitters for Wireless Communications

    Författare :Zain Ahmed Khan; Peter Händel; Magnus Isaksson; Mikko Valkama; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Power amplifier; RF transmitters; SISO; MIMO; crosstalk; Volterra series; Volterra kernels; behavioral modeling; DPD; Ramanujan sums; multitone signals; I Q Imbalance; non-linearity; memory polynomial; density estimation; hardware impairments; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing demands for data rate, energy efficiency and reliability in wireless communications have resulted in the introduction of radio frequency (RF) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmitters. However, MIMO transmitters suffer from additional crosstalk impairments along with the power amplifier (PA) and I/Q imbalance distortions observed in single input single output (SISO) transmitters. 3. 3. Model Order Reduction with Rational Krylov Methods

    Författare :K. Henrik A. Olsson; Axel Ruhe; Volker Mehrmann; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Model order reduction; dual rational Arnoldi; rational Krylov; moment matching; eigenvalue computation; stability analysis; heat exchanger model; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Rational Krylov methods for model order reduction are studied. A dual rational Arnoldi method for model order reduction and a rational Krylov method for model order reduction and eigenvalue computation have been implemented. It is shown how to deflate redundant or unwanted vectors and how to obtain moment matching. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A covariance structure analysis approach to the errors-in-variables estimation problem

    Författare :David Kreiberg; Fan Yang-Wallentin; Håkan Hjalmarsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; System identification; errors-in-variables models; structural equation modeling; confirmatory factor analysis; minimum distance estimator; separable nonlinear least squares; Statistics; Statistik;

    Sammanfattning : It is a well-known fact that standard regression techniques, when applied to errors-in-variables (EIV) models, lead to biased and inconsistent parameter estimation. The work presented in this thesis address the EIV estimation problem using covariance structure analysis (CSA). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Modeling of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Radio Propagation Channels

    Författare :Kai Yu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Antenna Array; Wireless Communications; MIMO Channel Model; MIMO Channel Measurements; MIMO Channel Capacity;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)systems appear to be very promising since they can provide highdata rates in environments with sucient scattering byexploiting the spatial domain. To design a real MIMO wirelesssystem and predict its performance under certain circumstances,it is necessary to have accurate MIMO wireless channel modelsfor dierent scenarios. LÄS MER
