1. Iron absorption and iron status related to diet : an experimental and epidemiological study
Sammanfattning : The absorption of iron from the diet is a major determinant of the iron status of an individual. Accurate measures of iron absorption are thus essential in the determination of the effects of diet composition on iron absorption and status. LÄS MER
2. Persistent musculoskeletal pain : A web-based activity programme for behaviour change, does it work? Expectations and experiences of the physiotherapy treatment process
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerned persons with persistent musculoskeletal pain in primary health care and had three aims. The first aim was to evaluate the effects of a web-based programme for behaviour change. The second aim was to create and evaluate a multimodal intervention. LÄS MER
3. Experimental Verification of Superconductor Digital Circuits
Sammanfattning : Superconducting digital technology based on Rapid Single Flux Quantum logic (RSFQ) offers more than 50 times advantages in speed and $100$ times less power consumption than today's mainstream semiconductor electronics. This technology is attractive for many applications and in particular for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for multi-user detection in a 3G wireless systems being developed at Chalmers University. 4. Biomechanical Parameter Estimation for Wearable Exoskeleton System Design
Sammanfattning : Exoskeletons are increasingly used in rehabilitation and daily life in persons with motor disorders after neurological injuries. The overall objective of this thesis is to study how to robustly and accurately predict joint torque using inputs from sensors that would technically be feasible to equip on an assistive exoskeleton, and to develop a framework that could be used to evaluate the user-exoskeleton interface. 5. Experimental and Theoretical Studies of Boronic Acids as a Co-Crystal Former
Sammanfattning : Multi-component molecular crystal materials have become a surging research subject due to their potential for applications in various fields such as pharmaceutics, energetic materials, electronics, etc. Their properties are governed by the arrangement of the constituent molecules and the various non-covalent interactions between them in their solid-state structure.
