  2. 2. Single event upsets: measurements and modelling of proton- and neutron-induced errors in a 28 nm SRAM-based FPGA

    Författare :Markus Preston; Per-Erik Tegnér; Samuel Silverstein; Pawel Marciniewski; Andreas Heinz; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Single event upset; FPGA; radiation damage; Monte Carlo simulation; PANDA; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Single event upsets are radiation-induced errors affecting electronic devices, which can cause corruption of processed data. The electromagnetic calorimeter of the PANDA experiment — a hadron-physics experiment currently under development — will employ Xilinx Kintex-7 field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in its readout electronics. 3. 3. Developments for the FPGA-Based Digitiser in the PANDA Electromagnetic Calorimeters

    Författare :Markus Preston; Per-Erik Tegnér; Samuel Silverstein; Pawel Marciniewski; Allan Hallgren; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PANDA; calorimeter; FPGA; single event upset; Geant4; Monte Carlo; pile-up; feature extraction; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The strong interaction between quarks and gluons is one of the fundamental interactions described by the standard model of particle physics. Systems of quarks bound together by the strong interaction are known as hadrons, of which the proton and the neutron are the most common examples. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Fragmentation in Proton-Nucleus Reactions from 100 to 1400 MeV

    Författare :Henrik Jäderström; Lars Wesretberg; Yuri Murin; Kjell Aleklett; Haik Simon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Nuclear physics; proton; deuteron; 20Ne; 28Si; Xe; nuclear reactions; inverse kinematics; recoils; intermediate mass fragments; angular distribution; DCM model; JQMD model; CFEM model; single event upset; Kärnfysik;

    Sammanfattning : The heaviest fragments, recoils, have been studied in proton and deuteron induced 28Si reactions and proton-20Ne reactions at 100-300 MeV per nucleon. Inclusive charge and angular distributions and coincidences between He nuclei and recoils have been compared to two theoretical models, Dubna Cascade Model and JAERI Quantum Molecular Dynamics.
