  1. 21. Contractors in Green Construction: Relationships to Suppliers and Developers

    Författare :Shahin Mokhlesian; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; contractor-supplier relationship; relational capability; partnering; innovation; purchasing; vertically-integrated developer; TCE; green construction;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction of green changes in different stages of a construction project are reflected in construction processes and products, and in the relationship between contractors and other firms and consequently in the business model of contractors. The aim of this thesis is to understand and analyse contractors’ collaboration practices with suppliers and clients in green construction projects and processes, and see if there are differences in how contractors collaborate with their clients and suppliers as a result of engaging in green construction. 2. 22. Articulatory-Acoustic Relationships in Swedish Vowel Sounds

    Författare :Christine Ericsdotter; Olle Engstrand; Björn Lindblom; Peter Ladefoged; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Swedish vowels; articulatory modelling; MRI; Phonetics; Fonetik;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of this work was to evaluate the performance of a classical method for predicting vocal tract cross-sectional areas from cross-distances, to be implemented in speaker-specific articulatory modelling. The data forming the basis of the evaluation were magnetic resonance images from the vocal tract combined with simultaneous audio and video recordings. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Neurotransmitter Imaging of the Human Brain : Detecting γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) Using Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

    Författare :Sofie Tapper; Peter Lundberg; Anders Tisell; Peter Zsigmond; Richard Edden; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: In this thesis, MEGA-edited Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) has been used for the purpose of non-invasive detection of !- aminobutyric acid (GABA) within the brain. GABA is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the human central nervous system, and glutamate is the corresponding main excitatory neurotransmitter. LÄS MER

  4. 24. In-Nozzle Flow, Spray and Combustion Investigations of Two-Stroke Marine Diesel Engine Fuel Injectors

    Författare :Reto Balz; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spray morphology; marine Diesel engine; fuel injection; in-nozzle flow; combustion; cavitation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the experimental studies of the cavitating in-nozzle flow of large two-stroke marine Diesel engine fuel injector nozzles and how it affects the spray morphology and combustion behaviour.  To further increase the efficiency of large two-stroke marine Diesel engines, a better understanding of the fuel spray atomization process is necessary. 5. 25. Making Visible the Proximity Between Proteins

    Författare :Carl-Magnus Clausson; Ola Söderberg; Jens Coorssen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Proximity ligation assay; In situ PLA; rolling circle amplification; protein interaction; protein-protein interaction; in situ; single cell; single molecule; protein complex; antibody; cancer; tissue section; microscopy; image analysis; system biology; multiplex; dynamic range; methods development; systems biology; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Genomic DNA is the template of life - the entity which is characterized by a self-sustaining anatomical development, regulated signaling processes, the ability to reproduce and to respond to stimuli. Through what is classically known as the central dogma, the genome is transcribed into mRNA, which in turn is translated into proteins. LÄS MER
