21. A digital filterbank hearing aid
Sammanfattning : Digital signal processing hearing aids may provide possibilities for new signal processing strategies to compensate for hearing loss. However, to be practically usable in a headworn hearing aid the digital circuitry needs to fulfil requirements of low power consumption, low supply voltage and small size. LÄS MER
22. Secure GNSS-based Positioning and Timing : Distance-Decreasing attacks, fault detection and exclusion, and attack detection with the help of opportunistic signals
Sammanfattning : With trillions of devices connected in large scale systems in a wired or wireless manner, positioning and synchronization become vital. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is the first choice to provide global coverage for positioning and synchronization services. LÄS MER
23. Perceptually motivated speech recognition and mispronunciation detection
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis is the result of a research effort performed in two fields of speech technology, i.e., speech recognition and mispronunciation detection. Although the two areas are clearly distinguishable, the proposed approaches share a common hypothesis based on psychoacoustic processing of speech signals. LÄS MER
24. Efficient MIMO Detection Methods
Sammanfattning : For the past decades, the demand in transferring large amounts of data rapidly and reliably has been increasing drastically. One of the more promising techniques that can provide the desired performance is multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology where multiple antennas are placed at both the transmitting and receiving side of the communication link. 25. Spaceborne SAR in Sea Ice Monitoring: Algorithm Development and Validation for the Baltic Sea
Sammanfattning : The usefulness of new spaceborne synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) sensors at L-, C-, and X-band for operational sea ice monitoring in the Baltic Sea has been evaluated. It is concluded that the information content in C-band and X-band data is largely equivalent, although larger spatial coverage is an advantage of the current C-band satellites. LÄS MER
