    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to continue to test the hypothesis that sex hormones play some part in the aetiology and seem to protect women from the development of oesophageal, gastric, and colorectal adenocarcinoma.     Sammanfattning : This thesis provides new insight concerning drivers behind differences in arthropod diversity and abundance in Baltic shore ecosystems and how the arthropod communities might be affected when the conditions in the Baltic Sea are altered due to climate change.  The focus has been on climate related changes that are unique for coastal ecosystems, especially sea level rise and changes in the inflow of marine nutrients.     Sammanfattning : Prior to the Second World War, there was a Swedish-speaking population settled on the north-western Estonian coasts. The early history of this group is largely unknown.     Sammanfattning : Low-frequency, long-range sound propagation over a seasurface has been calculated using a wide-angel Cranck-NicholsonParabolic Equation method.
