  2. 2. Regime Shifts in the Anthropocene

    Författare :Juan Carlos Rocha; Garry Peterson; Reinette Biggs; Örjan Bodin; Kevin Noone; Sarah Cornell; Ingo Fretzer; Steven Lade; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; regime shifts; critical transitions; network analysis; dynamic tipping points; Sustainability Science; vetenskap om hållbar utveckling; Systems Ecology; systemekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Regime shifts are large, abrupt and often hard to reverse changes in the function and structure of socal-ecological systems. These regime shifts have been documented in a broad range of systems and scales both in marine, terrestrial and polar ecosystems. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Regime Shifts in the Anthropocene

    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; regime shifts; critical transitions; ecosystems; drivers; impacts; ecosystem services; Sustainability Science; vetenskap om hållbar utveckling;

    Sammanfattning : Abrupt and persistent reconfiguration of ecosystem’s structure and function has been observed on a wide variety of ecosystems worldwide. While scientist believe that such phenomena could become more common and severe in the near future, little is known about the patterns of regime shifts’ causes and consequences for human well-being. Sammanfattning : Coral reefs are suffering unprecedented declines in coral cover and species diversity. These changes are often associated with  substantial shifts in community structure to new dominant organisms. Ultimately, these “phase shifts” can be persistent and very difficult to return from.
