21. Modelling and simulation of simultaneous forming and quenching
Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis is to develop and evaluate numerical methods for modelling and simulation of simultaneous forming and quenching within an integrated product development environment. Simultaneous forming and quenching, also referred to as hot-stamping, is a manufacturing process for high strength automotive components such as side impact protection beams. LÄS MER
22. Systems Biology in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Statistical data analysis and mathematical methods
Sammanfattning : Over the last decade, Systems Biology has emerged as a new paradigm in the study of cellular systems which are characterized from a global perspective; in contrast to the traditional cellular biology, which was focused on specific components of the cell. To this end, a key milestone for the achievement of a global view of biology is the generation and interpretation of different datasets derived from omics technologies; such as Transcriptome and Proteome. 23. Collaborative Predictive Maintenance for Smart Manufacturing : From Wireless Control to Federated Learning
Sammanfattning : Industry 4.0 represents a significant shift in the industrial landscape, aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. This shift involves the digitalization of industries, impacting manufacturing and maintenance processes. LÄS MER
24. The complexity and variability of individuals' activity-travel patterns in Indonesia
Sammanfattning : Considering an individual’s day-to-day variability of activity-travel patterns will provide a more complete description of how an individual behaves to adapt the changing constraints and resources on different days. Without this day-to-day variability understanding, the individual’s behaviour would not be fully grasped and any suggested policy, planning and development would not completely achieve their desired objectives. 25. Development of a method for highly localized growth of carbon nanotubes
Sammanfattning : A method for growing carbon nanotubes on chip using highly localizedresistive heating is developed. By deliberately designing molybdenumelectrodes to be highly resistive in a very small region we create amicrometer sized hot-zone where carbon nanotubes can be grown. LÄS MER
