  1. 1. The Core of Aerial Robotic Workers : Generalized Modeling, Estimation, and Control

    Författare :Emil Fresk; George Nikolakopoulos; Thomas Gustafsson; Ming Cao; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aerial robotics; generalized modeling; generalized estimation; generalized control; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we are going to explore what the operational core, both mathematically and algorithmically, of an Aerial Robotic Worker consists of, in order to estimate its egomotion and parameters, and adaptively control the aerial vehicle. Moreover, the aim of this thesis is to be a condensed reference for the corresponding areas of aerial robotics, in order to provide a stable and complete foundation on which one can continue research on. 2. 2. Towards Natural Control of Artificial Limbs

    Författare :Max Jair Ortiz Catalan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; epimysial electrodes; robotic prostheses; sensory feedback.; real-time and simultaneous prosthetic control; neurostimulation; pattern recognition; advanced prosthetic control; neural interfaces; artificial limbs; cuff electrodes; bone-anchored prostheses; osseointegration;

    Sammanfattning : The use of implantable electrodes has been long thought as the solution for a more natural control of artificial limbs, as these offer access to long-term stable and physiologically appropriate sources of control, as well as the possibility to elicit appropriate sensory feedback via neurostimulation. Although these ideas have been explored since the 1960’s, the lack of a long-term stable human-machine interface has prevented the utilization of even the simplest implanted electrodes in clinically viable limb prostheses. 3. 3. Losing control and developing concerns : The complexities of ageing postural control and fall-related concerns

    Författare :Mascha Pauelsen; Lars Nyberg; Ulrik Röijezon; Irene Vikman; Jorunn Lægdheim Helbostad; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ageing; postural balance; postural control; sensory and motor systems; fall-related concerns; fear of falling; neurological models; Physiotherapy; Fysioterapi;

    Sammanfattning : With the world population shifting its proportions towards higher ages, it is imperative to increase healthspan rather than lifespan, both for the sakes of community sustainability as well as individual quality of life. One of the main means to obtain healthy ageing, is a concept called active ageing, as activity has shown to slow down the natural ageing process. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Computer Simulation of the Neural Control of Locomotion in the Cat and the Salamander

    Författare :Nalin Harischandra; Örjan Ekeberg; Silvia Gruhn; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Locomotion; Computer simulation; Central pattern generator; System identification; Gait transition; Sensory feedback; Spiking neural networks;

    Sammanfattning : Locomotion is an integral part of a whole range of animal behaviours. The basic rhythm for locomotion in vertebrates has been shown to arise from local networks residing in the spinal cord and these networks are known as central pattern generators (CPG). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Adaptation and learning in postural control

    Författare :Fredrik Tjernström; Lund näs- och halssjukdomar Öron-; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Postural control; Adaptation; Learning; Sensory reweighting;

    Sammanfattning : The importance of the ability to use bipedal stance and gait in everyday life cannot be underestimated. Bipedal stance is learned during childhood and constantly adapted to changing circumstances throughout life. Failure to attain and maintain the control of upright posture can have catastrophic consequences. LÄS MER
