  1. 1. Unravelling Sensitisation and Quenching Pathways in Lanthanide Luminophores

    Författare :Salauat Kiraev; Eszter Borbas; Thomas Just Sørensen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lanthanide; Luminescence; Sensitisation; Quenching; Energy Transfer; Electron transfer; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Lanthanide (Ln) ions find use in cellular detection and probing of many analytes, owing to their unique photophysical properties. However, to make the Ln emission efficient, one has to develop a light-harvesting antenna, which is an organic chromophore that absorbs and transfers energy to the Ln. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Life-charting patients with treatment-refractory affective disorder

    Författare :Anna Ehnvall; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Life charting; treatment-refractory affective disorder; sensitisation; ; CRH challenge test; ACTH; MHPG; perception of parental rearing;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction:In treatment-refractory affective illness there are several hypothesis to suggest alterations in the neurobiological systems in relation to illness course. The underlying mechanisms have been scantily investigated. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Development of allergy, salivary IgA antibodies and gut microbiota in a Swedish birth cohort

    Författare :Anna Sandin; Agnes Wold; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :pet keeping; sensitisation; intestinal microflora; short chain fatty acids; allergy; salivary IgA; late-onset wheezing; pediatrik; Pediatrics;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing prevalence of allergic diseases in affluent societies has been associated with changes in microbial exposure early in life and a less diverse gut flora. The objective of this thesis was to assess the development of allergic sensitisation and symptoms during the first four years of life in a non-selected birth cohort in relation to environmental factors, family history, gut microbiota and salivary IgA antibodies. 4. 4. Epoxides as Contact Allergens - Formation, Sensitising Potency and Structure-Activity Relationships

    Författare :Ida Belogorcev Niklasson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Allergic contact dermatitis; Autoxidation; Bioactivation; Cinnamic alcohol; Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A DGEBA ; Epoxide; Epoxy resin; Local lymph node assay; Polymerisation; Peptide reactivity; Prehapten; Prohapten; Sensitisation; Skin; Structure-Activity Relationship; Thermogravimetric Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Chemicals in our environment with which we have repeated skin contact can cause skin sensitisation (contact allergy). To trigger an immune response a compound (hapten) must be able to penetrate the skin, where it needs to be reactive enough to bind to proteins and form immunogenic complexes that are recognised as foreign. 5. 5. Chronic Pelvic Pain Persisting after Childbirth : Diagnosis and Implications for Treatment

    Författare :Thomas Torstensson; Per Kristiansson; Margaretha Eriksson; Siv Mørkved; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Chronic pelvic pain; corticosteroid; injection; pain mapping; pelvic pain; physical function; physiotherapy; pregnancy; randomised controlled trial; referred pain; sensitisation; Physiotherapy; Sjukgymnastik fysioterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Objectives: To explore the pain mechanism and the origin of the pain and to evaluate a short-term pain relief treatment in women suffering from CPP persisting after childbirth in order to enable physiotherapeutic intervention.Material and methods: Thirty-six parous women with chronic pelvic pain persisting after childbirth were recruited at the Department of Physiotherapy, SundsvallHospital and by advertisements in newspapers and 29 parous women without chronic pelvic pain were recruited from an organized gynaecological screening at a midwifery surgery.
