    Sammanfattning : An important priority in the current Swedish Defence Bill is to increase the operational warfighting capability of the Swedish Armed Forces, which has implications for the defence supply chain. A recent study suggested that the Swedish Armed Forces should use segmentation of supplies and differentiation of supply chains to enable an affordable supply chain design (SCD). LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: This research aims to enhance the current understanding and knowledge of the demand-supply chain management (DSCM) concept by determining its elements, benefits, and requirements, as well as by analyzing key elements of the concept. Methodology: This research has utilized the case study strategy and the survey strategy, however, the case study strategy dominates. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Access management in intermodal freight terminals: The perspective of road haulier operations

    Författare :Stefan Jacobsson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SOCIAL SCIENCES; road haulier operations; information exchange; differentiation and segmentation strategies; resource efficiency; intermodal freight terminals; access management;

    Sammanfattning : Given its possibilities of switching freight from road to more sustainable modes such as rail, inland water ways and seaways, intermodal freight transportation depends on environmental and economic variables. At the same time, intermodal freight transportation is essentially complex due to the variety of modes of transport and their corresponding actors. LÄS MER
