16. Correlative Chemical Imaging of Nanoscale Subcellular Structures
Sammanfattning : Chemical imaging can elucidate complex mechanisms, relationships, and components of biological samples. For example, it can reveal properties such as chemical composition, chemical structure, reactivity, and topography. Several imaging techniques exist, each providing different types of information. 17. Advancements in Firefly Luciferase-Based Assays and Pyrosequencing Technology
Sammanfattning : Pyrosequencing is a new DNA sequencing method relying on thesequencing-by-synthesis principle and bioluminometric detectionof nucleotide incorporation events. The objective of thisthesis was improvement of the Pyrosequencing method byincreasing the thermal stability of firefly luciferase, and byintroducing an alternative DNA polymerase and a new nucleotideanalog. 18.
19. Multi-fastener single-lap joints in composite structures
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with composite joints. Designing such joints is more difficult than metallic joints due to the mechanical properties of composite materials. Composites are anisotropic and have a limited ability of yielding. LÄS MER
20. Secondary metabolites from the saprotrophic fungus Granulobasidium vellereum
Sammanfattning : The production of secondary metabolites by the saprotrophic fungus Granulobasidium vellereum was investigated. G. vellereum is a wood decomposing basidiomycete fungus that arrives at dead trunks of fallen hard wood trees at a later stage of the decomposition process and hence need to outcompete the organisms already colonizing the site.
