  1. 1. Physical contact in physical education : New perspectives and future directions

    Författare :Annica Caldeborg; Marie Öhman; Joacim Andersson; Ninitha Maivorsdotter; Jesper Andreasson; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Physical contact; physical education; PE; touch; student perspective; heteronormativity; gender; immigrant students; scoping review;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis takes its point of departure in the research field of intergenerational touch in educational settings. Specifically, it is mainly the student perspective of physical contact between teachers and students in physical education (PE) that is of interest. In addition, a scoping review has also been conducted. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Quantifying hydroclimatic change impacts on infectious diseases : Signals and geographies from local to global scale

    Författare :Yan Ma; Georgia Destouni; Zahra Kalantari; Arvid Bring; Rita Colwell; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hydroclimatic change; infectious diseases; climate sensitivity; disease geography; quantitative study; scoping review; naturgeografi; Physical Geography;

    Sammanfattning : Hydroclimatic change has the potential to directly or indirectly increase the occurrence and expand or shift the geographical range of infectious diseases. This may pose particular threats in the Nordic-Arctic Region, where warming is more rapid than in other parts of the world, but the climate sensitivities of various infectious diseases still remain to be investigated in this and other regions. 3. 3. To be at one's best : The evolution of Optimal Functionality and its possible implementation in an ICT-platform

    Författare :Samal Algilani; Annica Kihlgren; Agneta Schröder; Stefan Sävenstedt; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; older adults; optimal functionality; scoping review; focus group; qualitative content analysis; mental health; interviews; phenomenological approach; ICT-platform;

    Sammanfattning : At the Nutrition and Physical Activity Research Centre for Optimal Health and Functionality through Life (NUPARC), a research gap was uncovered regarding the concept optimal functionality based on the older adult’s own perspective. The overall aim was to explore the concept of optimal functionality among older adults and the possibility of creating and developing an ICT-platform to measure it. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Managing coastal eutrophication : Land-sea and hydroclimatic linkages with focus on the Baltic coastal system

    Författare :Guillaume Vigouroux; Georgia Destouni; Alice Newton; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; coastal eutrophication; land-coast-sea continuum; management; hydroclimatic change; research gaps; eutrophication modelling; temoporal trends; scoping review; Baltic Sea; Physical Geography; naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : Eutrophication endangers coastal ecosystems all over the world and is most often associated with an increase in anthropogenic nutrient loads to coastal waters, which fuel the growth of algae and create a variety of environmental problems. This is also the case for the Baltic Sea where coastal waters may be affected by various land, coast-sea, and hydroclimatic drivers and feedbacks, over different scales, including the eutrophic open sea.
