  1. 1. Measuring quality of occupational performance based on self-report and observation : development and validation of instruments to evaluate ADL task performance

    Författare :Eva Ejlersen Waehrens; Anne G Fisher; Hans Lund; Bente Danneskiold-Samsöe; Lena von Koch; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; activities of daily living; acquired brain injury; ADL evaluation; ADL task performance; chronic disease; chronic widespread pain; interview; observation; occupational therapy; observation-based evaluation; questionnaire; Rasch measurement; rheumatic diseases; Occupational therapy; Arbetsterapi; Occupational therapy; arbetsterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Background People with rheumatic or neurologic conditions are commonly referred for occupational therapy because of decreased ability to perform ADL tasks. Upon referral, occupational therapists use a client-centred, occupationfocused approach when evaluating a person's perceived and observed quality of ADL task performance to clarify the nature and extent of the person’s problems, plan interventions and determine effectiveness of interventions. 2. 2. Deep Learning for Geo-referenced Data : Case Study: Earth Observation

    Författare :Nosheen Abid; Marcus Liwicki; Muhammad Zeshan Afzal; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning; Earth Observation; Computer Vision; Machine Learning; Maskininlärning;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis focuses on machine learning methods for Earth Observation (EO) data, more specifically, remote sensing data acquired by satellites and drones. EO plays a vital role in monitoring the Earth’s surface and modelling climate change to take necessary precautionary measures. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Skuggor av sanning : Tidig svensk radiologi och visuell kultur

    Författare :Solveig Jülich; Boel Berner; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; science studies; visual culture; history of Swedish radiology; professionalization; scientific images; scientific observation; objectivity; subjectivity; judgment; röntgenfotografi; medicinhistoria; radiologi historia; visuell perception; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN; HUMANITIES and RELIGION;

    Sammanfattning : The present study deals with the introduction and reception of x-ray images in Sweden around 1900. The general aim is to investigate two cultural contexts of the early x-ray image. It is shown that during the initial years x-ray images were wedded with photographs and film in an expanding mass visual culture. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Making Meteorology : Social Relations and Scientific Practice

    Författare :Mikaela Sundberg; Árni Sverrisson; Steven Yearley; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; scientific practice; social worlds; meteorology; climate research; Sociology; Sociologi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about the production of knowledge in meteorological research. Meteorology is an interesting case because of its crucial role in defining the climate change problem, but also because of its reliance on simulation modeling, a comparatively little studied scientific practice. 5. 5. Optics for Earth Observation Instruments

    Författare :Arvid Hammar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; off-axis; free-form mirrors; measurements; stray light; spline horns; THz; reflector optics; satellites; scientific instruments; diamond turning; tolerancing; telescopes;

    Sammanfattning : The optical system is an essential part of every remote sensing instrument used for detecting electromagnetic waves. Careful design, fabrication and characterization is therefore crucial, especially for satellite-borne missions where the possibility of post-launch repairs is highly limited. LÄS MER
