  1. 1. Observing Sea Level Using Reflected Global Navigation Satellite System Signals

    Författare :Johan Löfgren; [2011]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; tide gauge; Global Navigation Satellite Systems; ocean tides; reflected signals; sea-level monitoring;

    Sammanfattning : Sea-level rise due to global warming is predicted to have a large impact on human society, especially for populations living in coastal regions and on islands. It is therefore of great importance to monitor the sea level and to increase the understanding of the local hydrodynamic and meteorological responses to a global sea-level rise. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On Integrity Monitoring of Integrated Navigation Systems

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Jan Palmqvist; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [1997]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : In civil aviation a new philosophy for flight safety and traffic management is under development. The goal is to enable an expected increase in air traffic density by reducing aircraft separation. The accuracy of the position estimate determined by the navigation system in each aircraft determines this separation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Migration strategies of raptors – spatio-temporal adaptations and constraints in travelling and foraging

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Roine Strandberg; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; route convergence; loop migration; mortality; spatio-temporal distribution patterns; pre- and post-migratory movements; daily travel routines; satellite tracking; fly-and-forage migration; raptors;

    Sammanfattning : My dissertation is about bird migration and addresses questions about how raptors adapt to the fluctuating environments during the transition seasons between breeding and wintering. The migration is highly affected by local prey abundance, foraging strategies, weather conditions and landscape patterns along the migration routes as well as navigation and orientation mechanisms and cues. 4. 4. Sea Ice Concentration Estimation and Ice Type Classification from Dual-Frequency Satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Författare :Wiebke Aldenhoff; [2017]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; sea ice concentration; sea ice; SAR imaging; sea ice classification; Fram Strait;

    Sammanfattning : The sea ice cover in the Arctic has undergone dramatic changes in recent years. The perennial sea ice extent is decreasing by 12.2 % per decade while annual mean sea ice thickness has decreased by more than 2 m for the central Arctic Basin from 1975 to 2012. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Sensor Fusion for Smartphone-based Vehicle Telematics

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Johan Wahlström; KTH.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The fields of navigation and motion inference have rapidly been transformed by advances in computing, connectivity, and sensor design. As a result, unprecedented amounts of data are today being collected by cheap and small navigation sensors residing in our surroundings. LÄS MER
