1. Asymptotic Problems on Homogeneous Spaces
Sammanfattning : This PhD thesis consists of a summary and five papers which all deal with asymptotic problems on certain homogeneous spaces. In Paper I we prove asymptotic equidistribution results for pieces of large closed horospheres in cofinite hyperbolic manifolds of arbitrary dimension. LÄS MER
2. On the Uniform Equidistribution of Closed Horospheres in Hyperbolic Manifolds
Sammanfattning : We prove equidistribution results for (pieces of) closed horospheres in cofinite hyperbolic manifolds of dimension n+1, using spectral methods. This extends earlier results by Hejhal [Hej2] and Str¨ombergsson [St1] in dimension 2... LÄS MER
4. Öppna spisar : metod som förhindrar öppna spisar att ryka in
Sammanfattning : The primary purpose of this thesis is to account for a new method of limiting the risk of smoke leaking out from the open fireplace into the room. The improved functionality is obtained by adding a turnplate to the open fireplace mounted horizontally inside the lower edge at the hood of the open fire. LÄS MER
5. Lipid peroxidation in vivo : Evaluation and application of methods for measurement
Sammanfattning : Lipid peroxidation is thought to be an important factor in the pathophysiology of a number of diseases and in the process of ageing, but its measurement in vivo has been difficult. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate methods for measurement of lipid peroxidation in vivo that are suitable for clinical investigations, and to apply these methods in animal and human studies investigating basal conditions and situations associated with increased lipid peroxidation.
