  1. 6. Sex differences in adverse drug events from cardiovascular medicines in routine care

    Författare :Diana Rydberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : In preventive drug treatment of cardiovascular disease, adverse drug effects often lead to suboptimal compliance with a risk of disability and shorter life expectancy. The overall aim of this thesis was to assess the nature and extent of adverse drug events (ADEs) from cardiovascular drugs in both women and men treated in routine care. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Using enriched quality register data for health care evaluation : examples from rheumatoid arthritis

    Författare :Jonas Eriksson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Swedish registers have for decades successfully been used for medical research, enabling long-term follow-up of large patient cohorts using observational designs. With a tax funded health care system and the use of a personal identity number as a unique identifier, together with national health registers as well as national demographic registers, we have to a relatively low cost the possibility to answer an abundance of research questions in a real-world setting. Sammanfattning : Background Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is increasingly recognised as an important patient-reported outcome in health care research. However, the use is still restricted and several questions remain about the value and feasibility of using measures of HRQoL in routine health care. LÄS MER
