  1. 1. Swedish Numerals in an International Perspective

    Författare :Magnus Olsson; tolkning i offentlig sektor och översättning danska och isländska Avdelningen för svenska; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; synchrony; round numbers; base; vacillation; parallelism; affinity; inflection; derivation; dualism; affix; language change; language planning; dates; number; measurement; typology; homonymy; semantics; syntax; phonology; morphology; designation transition; Scandinavian languages and literature; Nordiska språk språk och litteratur ;

    Sammanfattning : Swedish numerals are here treated from different points of view. The book is however not intended to be a textbook of Swedish numerals, though one may learn a great deal about the system herein - more than the general user of the language knows. Phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics all get their fair share of attention. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Round Window Membrane - Gateway to the Cochlea : A Morphological and Electrophysiological study

    Författare :Leif Nordang; Sten Hellström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Otorhinolaryngology; round window membrane; pseudomonas exotoxin; auditory brainstem response; hearing loss; endolymphatic sac; inner ear immunology; glutamate; nitric oxide inhibitor; glucocorticoid.; Otorhinolaryngologi; Otorhinolaryngology; Otorhinolaryngologi; Oto-Rhino-Laryngology; oto-rhino-laryngologi;

    Sammanfattning : Topical treatment of several inner ear diseases through the round window membrane (RWM) might be feasible in the near future. Bacteria toxins, ototoxic drugs and noise trauma seem to harm the inner ear by a common pathway which involves, excessive outflow of the afferent neurotransmitter glutamate and formation of nitric oxide (NO), which can severely damage cells/nerve endings and lead to cell death. 3. 3. Histologic characterization of stem cells in mammary epithelium and stroma

    Författare :Björn Isfoss; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : It is unknown whether native cells in benign breast tissue mediate risk of cancer.We therefore aimed to identify cell types in benign human mammary tissueimmunohistologically using markers of stemness and differentiation, and toinvestigate their possible associations with clinical risk factors for breast cancer. 4. 4. Turbulence-droplet interaction modelled by One-Dimensional-Turbulence

    Författare :Marco Fistler; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; One-Dimensional-Turbulence ODT ; Multiphase Flow; Turbulence; Droplets;

    Sammanfattning : A stochastic model to study droplet/particle influence on the gas phase using the One-Dimensional-Turbulence model (ODT) is evaluated. To address one of the major problems for multiphase flow simulations, namely computational costs, the dimension-reduced model is used with the goal of predicting certain classes of these flows more efficiently. 5. 5. A behavioural investigation into Eristalis tenax : Pursuit, approach estimation, locomotor activity and rearing

    Författare :Malin Thyselius; Karin Nordström; Anna Rostedt Punga; Yuri Ogawa; Emily Baird; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Eristalis tenax; Insect rearing; Hoverflies; Pollinators; Circadian rhythm; Target detection; Motion vision; Pursuit; LAMS; Flight arena;

    Sammanfattning : Hoverflies are suggested to be the 2nd most important pollinator group after bees and bumblebees, and with the changing climate and dwindling numbers of pollinators it might never have been more important understanding our pollinators. Given the hoverflies’ small brains, beautiful aerial acrobatics, good temporal resolution, but limited spatial resolution, these flies make interesting study animals for flight behaviour and vision research.
