Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to analyse music teachers’ collegiate discourses on ensemble playing with regard to dialogically expressed criteria and conceptions of quality, and to relate these criteria and conceptions to the national governing documents for upper secondary ensemble education. Sammanfattning : This dissertation consists of five parts dealing with three areas; voice science, voice pedagogics and musical expression. The ultimate aim was to use the scientific analyzes of my vocal expression as a complement to a vocal teaching method that is applicable for the vocal ideals used in the popular music genres, considering also current scientific knowledge in the areas of physiology, acoustics and rehabilitation. In study one, two groups of musicians, one from a University College of Music and the other, a rock group from the non- university music scene, were asked to arrange and record a finished version of a ‘rock song’, especially created for this project. 5. Skolmusikalen : om möten, makt och musik i två skolmusikalprojekt i årskurs nio
Sammanfattning : The two school musical theatre projects in this case study were carried out in 2011-2012 in Year 9 at two Swedish secondary schools, Annebäckskolan and Bäråskolan, as a part of the subject “Elevens val” (Student’s Elective). The purpose of the study was to analyse how pedagogy, power and control appeared in the projects, based on the following research questions: How can the influence of the local community and leisure discourses on education be understood through the two school musical theatre projects? What pedagogical codes appear in the projects and how do they relate to time and space? What power relations are produced and why? The study was conducted through participatory observations and interviews and dialogues with participating students and teachers. LÄS MER
