  2. 2. Mehanics of Rock Fragmentation Static and Dynamic Laboratory Testing Applied to Aggregate Production

    Författare :Bahman Bohloli; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; anisotropy; aggregates; rock failure; saturation; Brazilian test; dynamic tensile strength; Hopkinson pressure bar; fragmentation; rock fines; crushing;

    Sammanfattning : Knowing the strength properties of rocks is essential for calculating the stability of natural slopes, constructions in and on rock, excavations, blasting geometry, crushing, and drilling. When rock and rock masses are subjected to either dynamic or static loads, the tensile strength is determined by tests appropriate to the load type. LÄS MER

  3. 3. AIR CLASSIFICATION OF FINE AGGREGATES

    Författare :Robert Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CFD; Fines; Manufactured sand; Aggregates; Air classification; Concrete;

    Sammanfattning : Aggregates are defined as particles of rock which in combination are used as a civil engineering material. It is used in bounded form in asphalt and concrete. Historically natural sand has been used as fine aggregates for concrete production in Sweden. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Towards understanding breakage and flow in sublevel caving (SLC) : Development of new measurement techniques and results from full-scale tests

    Författare :Matthias Wimmer; Pekka Särkkä; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och Berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Blast function, fragmentation and gravity flow are core elements for sublevel caving (SLC). For the ore recovery to be as high and the waste rock dilution as low as possible all three elements have to work as planned. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Rheology of the mortar phase of concrete with crushed aggregate

    Författare :Mikael Westerholm; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, concrete has traditionally been manufactured with glaciofluvial deposits as fine aggregate. In 2004 the production of this aggregate was approximately 21 million tons. Due to environmental reasons and local shortage of this natural resource there exists a goal to reduce the production to 12 million tons in year 2010. LÄS MER
