6. Pointwise Maximal Leakage : Robust, Flexible and Explainable Privacy
Sammanfattning : For several decades now, safeguarding sensitive information from disclosure has been a key focus in computer science and information theory. Especially, in the past two decades, the subject of privacy has received significant attention due to the widespread collection and processing of data in various facets of society. LÄS MER
7. The Influence of Learning on Naturalization of New Practices -The Case of Robust Design in Product Development
Sammanfattning : The Influence of Learning on Naturalization of New Practices– the Case of Robust Design in Product DevelopmentAzadeh Fazl MashhadiDepartment of Technology Management and EconomicsDivision of Quality SciencesChalmers University of TechnologyABSTRACTCustomers appreciate a robust product which performs its desired function consistently and independently of the sources of variation during its life cycle. In order to deliver a robust design to customers, the upstream activities during the product development process should proactively support such a result. LÄS MER
8. Extended Application of Robust Design Methodology
Sammanfattning : Robust Design Methodology (RDM), a subset of Quality Management (QM), is an approach applied to the design phase of product development in order to manage variability in product performance by creating insensitivity to noise factors. Noise factors are sources of variation that cannot be readily controlled. LÄS MER
9. Collaborative design procedures for architects and engineers
Sammanfattning : This book argues for novel strategies to integrate engineering design procedures and structural analysis data into architectural design. Algorithmic procedures that recently migrated into the architectural practice are utilized to improve the interface of both disciplines. LÄS MER
10. Life Cycle Energy Optimisation: A multidisciplinary engineering design optimisation framework for sustainable vehicle development
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores how the systemic-level environmental footprint of light-duty vehicles could be reduced through integrative design using the Life Cycle Energy Optimisation (LCEO) methodology. This methodology aims at finding a design solution that uses a minimum amount of cumulative energy demand over the different phases of the vehicle's life cycle; while complying with a set of functional constraints, thereby avoiding any sub-optimal energy demand shifts between the vehicle's different life cycle phases.
