  1. 6. Driver-Vehicle Interaction : Identification, Characterization and Modelling of Path Tracking Skill

    Författare :Andreas Erséus; Stensson Trigell Annika; David Cole; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Since the dawn of the automobile, driver behaviour has been an issue. Driving can result in accidents that may harm not only the driver but also passengers and the surroundings. This calls for measures that restrict the usage of vehicles and to assist the individual driver to conduct the driving in a safe, yet practically efficient manner. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Longitudinal Force Distribution and Road Vehicle Handling

    Författare :Matthijs Klomp; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ehicle dynamics; quasi steady-state; drive force; combined grip; longitudinal force distribution; combined slip; vehicle handling; optimization;

    Sammanfattning : The distribution of longitudinal forces has a large influence on vehicle handling characteristics such as the driver/vehicle interaction, road holding and yaw stability, in particular during combined traction/braking and cornering near the grip limit of the tires. In order to select and develop suitable driveline systems and associated active control that provide consistent driver/vehicle handling, maximum road holding and sufficient yaw stability margins, it is essential to understand the influence of a particular drive force distribution on these handling characteristics. 3. 8. Reconfigurable Motion Control Systems for Over-Actuated Road Vehicles

    Författare :Leo Laine; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; over-actuated; road vehicle; reconfigurable; control allocation; hybrid electric vehicle; motion control system;

    Sammanfattning : Over-actuated systems, such as today's road vehicle configurations, have more motion actuators than controlled motions. For example, a passenger car has a combustion engine and four mechanical brakes, all of which can be used individually to correct any error in yaw rate when the vehicle becomes under- or oversteered. 4. 9. On Generic Road Vehicle Motion Modelling and Control

    Författare :Johan Andreasson; Annika Stensson Trigell; Matt Best; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : With the increased amount of on-board electric power driven by the ongoing hybridization, new ways to realize vehicles are likely to occur. This thesis outlines a future direction of vehicle motion control based on the assumptions that: 1) future vehicle development will face an increased amount of available actuators for vehicle propulsion and control that will open up for an increased variety of possible configurations, 2) the onboard computational power will continue to increase and allow higher demands on active safety and drivability that will require a tighter interaction between sensors and actuators, 3) the trend towards more individualized vehicles on common platforms with shorter time-to-market require design approaches that allow engineering knowledge to be transferred conveniently from one generation to the next. 5. 10. Evaluation of Adapted Passenger Cars for Drivers with Physical Disabilities

    Författare :Björn Peters; Statens väg- och transportforskningsinstitut; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Disabled person; Driver; Car; Adaptation; Equipment; Vehicle handling; Simulator; Adaptive cruise control; Driving aptitude; Thesis; 911 Road: Components of the vehicle; 911 Road: Components of the vehicle; 841 Road: Road user behaviour; 841 Road: Road user behaviour; 84 Road: Road users; 84 Road: Road users;

    Sammanfattning : Driving can provide independent and efficient mobility. However, according to the driving license directive (91/439/EEC) are persons with locomotor impairments are only allowed drive if their disabilities can be compensated. Compensation can be realised by vehicle adaptations. LÄS MER
