  1. 1. A New Audiometric Bone Vibrator, Radioear B81, and the Bone Conduction Implant with Emphasis on Magnetic Resonance Imaging

    Författare :Karl-Johan Fredén Jansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; image artifact; magnetically induced torque; balanced electromagnetic separation transducer; magnetic resonance imaging.; bone vibrator; bone conduction; retention magnet; demagnetization;

    Sammanfattning : Hearing by air conduction (AC) and bone conduction (BC) are attributed to be the natural ways of stimulating the cochlea. With AC hearing, the cochlea is stimulated by air pressure variations via the ear canal, whereas with BC hearing, sound vibrations are transmitted thru the skull bone to the cochlea. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Applications of Magnetic Tracers in the Human Lung and Gastrointestinal Tract

    Författare :Mikael Forsman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; inverse solution; gastrointestinal motility; inhaled particles; gastric emptying; welding dust; MPG; pulmonary clearance; occupational health; magnetopneumography; multipole analysis; transit time;

    Sammanfattning : The use of ferrimagnetic material as a tracer represents a noninvasive approach in physiological measurements. Concerning the lung, magnetopneumography, MPG, is a unique technique to estimate retained dust in the lung, using the magnetizable dust fraction as a tracer. First a strong constant magnetic field is briefly applied to the thorax. LÄS MER
